Bhoomi Pujan is a Hindu ritual performed before construction to honor Goddess Earth (Bhoomi) and (VastuPurusha), the deity of directions. The main reasons are to seek blessings for a prosperous and smooth construction process, remove negative energies and Vastu dosh (defects in architecture) from the land, and ensure the well-being and safety of the future inhabitants.
